Please note, Urban Alchemy takes our propane bottles and we aren’t ALLOWED to cook in our RVs. It’s a “rule” we agree to when we move in. We are served $8 trays (they were $12 a tray until July 2024, so you can imagine how quality has declined…and it was bad enough before). Also BVHPF used to deliver food bank boxes but stopped due to people not using it and letting it rot. That’s just not true. Every one looked forward to getting it and few have vehicles to go it themselves.
This outdoor microwave is all that replaced our kitchens. It says “no cooking appliances”. Well, not to worry, there was NO ELECTRIC SERVICE to RVs from Jan 2022 until Jan 2024.
gypsyTravellers are only ethic group expected to live like this… because we won’t give up our HOMEs and go live in an SRO or a shed. Oh sorry, a tiny “home”. Take a look at what I am expected to live in should I “lose” my RV-home of 12 years.
To see more photos and videos of the food served once we at the VTC (San Francisco’s only legal place for low income RV dwellers to legally exist) were made – by rule – to give Urban Alchemy staff our propane bottles.
One more, when I first moved in: Mother Brown’s food. At the end of contract, they and BVHPF were sniping at each other in the news paper.
